David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.

David Walliams

Prolific writer for children and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.

A representative for the firm commented: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the decision was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding allegations of questionable actions involving young women.

The firm has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, noting: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."

A Highly Successful Writing Journey

Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies globally in dozens of tongues.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.

Some of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.

He has published over four dozen titles in total, encompassing a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.

Television and Literature

His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE in 2017 for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.

This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss in October.
